New windows in the outside walls of your home, in every common style: double-hung, casement, sliding, picture, awning, bay and bow, and garden windows. Frames come in vinyl, fiberglass, aluminum or wood. We also fit exterior storm windows and exterior shutters.

Exterior door installation

Front entry doors, patio and sliding doors, exterior French doors and storm doors. Exterior doors only.

Everything we do is on the outside of the house: exterior windows and doors, siding, roofing and washing. We do not install interior doors or interior windows, and we do not do interior remodeling. If part of your project is inside the house, that part needs a different contractor.

Keeping to the exterior lets our crews focus on the details that keep water out: the sill pan, the flashing, and the seal between the frame and the wall.

Choose your materials

You pick the style, frame and glass, and we specify and order them for your home. There is no pressure to sign, and the price is the same next week.

Installed and cleaned up

One crew stays on your job until it is finished. Each opening is cut, fitted, flashed and trimmed, and the old material is hauled away.

• A sill pan: a sloped tray under the window or door that catches any water getting past the outer seal and sends it back outside.
• Flashing lapped so gravity carries water away from the framing, not into it.
• A unit set plumb, level and square, so the sash or door seals evenly all the way around.
• Sealant at the exterior joint, and trim finished as part of the job, not on a follow-up visit.
• Any rot or damage photographed and shown to you before anything is covered.

• Fog or haze between the panes of glass. The seal has failed and cannot be repaired.
• A window sash or a door that binds, drags or will not stay where you put it.
• Drafts you can feel at the trim around a window or door.
• Water stains or soft wood at a sill or threshold. Act on this one quickly.
• Original single-pane aluminum windows still in service.
• A sliding patio door that has become hard to move.

Not every problem needs a new unit. A sticking door is often a loose top hinge that long screws into the framing will fix. A drafty door often just needs new weatherstrip. A hard-to-slide patio door usually needs a clean track and new rollers. We check those things first and tell you if that is all it needs.

When a frame is rotted or racked (pushed out of square), or a sealed glass unit has failed, replacement is the honest answer, and we will show you why.

We run two crews, and each crew stays on one job until it is finished. We serve Madison, Huntsville and Harvest every week, plus Athens, Decatur, Hazel Green, Florence, Scottsboro, Guntersville and other towns across North Alabama. We do not work in Tennessee. Our hours are Monday to Saturday, 7 AM to 7 PM.
